Stop relying on gut feelings
when trading in your car.

What is the vehicle worth, and what's the best way to market it? Caddie AI answers both questions in seconds: data-driven, with clear recommendations for the sales pitch.

Recommendation

Which channel based on margin and days on inventory

20 minutes of market research per vehicle. Or a gut feeling.

Every trade-in is a decision involving several thousand euros—made either on a whim or after extensive research across multiple platforms, for each individual vehicle.

01

A Price Based on Gut Feeling

Book values and experience instead of actual market data. Bought too expensively: the car sits idle and ties up capital. Bought too cheaply: the customer is gone.

02

20 minutes per vehicle

Searching on mobile.de, AutoScout24, and auction platforms—all over again for every listing. That’s time taken away from the sales conversation.

03

B2B and B2C Separately

A dedicated point of contact from day one. We handle all communication with buyers—so you can focus on your core business.

Enter the VIN. Get the decision.

DAT Integration retrieves the master data; Caddie compares the B2B and B2C markets side by side and recommends the channel—along with the rationale and confidence level.

Demand is falling, and the premium barely covers the cost of tying up capital for a week, not to mention the warranty risk associated with a 4Motion with 95,000 km—an auction yields nearly the same proceeds with zero risk.

Caddie trades on his own.

Trade-ins are just the first use case. Agents handle routine tasks throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle—the dealer sets the limits. The data is stored in the DMS, and Caddie accesses it.

The questions businesses ask us most often.

How does Caddie rate a vehicle?

The vehicle’s master data is retrieved from connected data sources based on the vehicle identification number. You enter the mileage and date of first registration yourself; review the remaining details and correct them as needed. At the same time, Caddie analyzes transaction data from B2B wholesale and market data from B2C retail. This information is used to generate a purchase price estimate, market prices by channel, the expected time to sell, and a channel recommendation with justification.

You can see the vehicles behind the recommendation, along with their price, mileage, date of first registration, and number of days on the market. This makes the recommendation transparent—it’s not a “black box.”

What is not included in the valuation: the vehicle’s individual condition. Previous damage, outstanding repairs, and wear and tear are not taken into account—not even for the comparable vehicles used as the basis for the calculation. Caddie performs its calculations at the market and model levels.

Where does the data come from?

The B2B price is based on completed transactions on our platform—that is, on actual prices paid, not asking prices. The B2C price is based on market data from the retail market. The vehicle master data comes from a vehicle valuation provider.

Is Caddie AI a fully automated solution?

Data collection and calculations are automated, but the decision is yours. Caddie does not place bids, set selling prices, conclude contracts, or communicate with your customers.

How much does Caddie AI cost?

Caddie is billed as a monthly package per account. Packages start at 29.00 EUR (net) per month for 10 reviews. The larger the package, the lower the price per review, ranging from 2.90 EUR for the smallest package to 1.75 EUR for the largest. Without a package, you can purchase reviews individually for 5.00 EUR (net) per review, valid for twelve months.

You are billed for each evaluation that yields a result. The complete pricing schedule, the rules regarding quotas and billing, and the cancellation terms can be found in the service overview displayed during the booking process.

In which countries is Caddie AI available?

The service is currently available to customers based in Germany and Austria.

Is Caro replacing my employees?

Access is via the CarOnSale platform. If you’re registered there as a dealer, you’ll find Caddie in your account. No IT project, no installation, no interface, and no connection to your dealer management system. Caddie runs in a browser, on web and mobile devices.

Does CarOnSale affect the price that Caddie shows me?

No. The channel recommendation is not a sales recommendation for CarOnSale, but rather a comparison: the price advantage per channel versus the expected time on the market and demand. The calculation is the same for every vehicle and is not adjusted based on the customer, the vehicle, or our own interests. You cannot buy or influence a rating.
You can view the comparison vehicles listed with each recommendation and use them to verify our assessment.

Why does the Caddie price differ from my book value?

A book value is a model value. Caddie calculates based on actual sales prices and the current market conditions for that specific model, so upward and downward deviations are normal and not an error.

Why does the value change when I re-appraise the same vehicle later?

The calculation is updated daily. New completed sales and new listings are added continuously, so the same vehicle may be appraised differently after a few days.
Every successful appraisal is counted, including reappraisals of the same vehicle within the same billing period. If you simply want to view an appraisal you’ve already created again, access it in your query history. This does not cost any additional credits.

Can I set the margin and target selling price myself?

Yes. The margin and target price calculations are based on the margin and channel specifications that you enter yourself, and you can override the target selling price in the results. Caddie calculates your specifications; it does not dictate them to you.

Who at my company can see my reviews?

Caddie operates at the account level, not the individual user level. The search history and account balance are stored in the account, and all authorized users of that account have access to them.
Other merchants cannot see this information. Your stored margin and channel specifications are not made available to other customers, not even in a form that would allow them to infer your pricing calculations.
